Spanner Re² wood gasifiers produce a combustible synthesis gas from biomass and residual materials, which can be used directly – without prior power generation – in thermal applications, for example via gas burner lances in industrial furnaces. This allows temperatures of over 1,000°C to be achieved, as required, for example, in the brick, metal, concrete, or food industries.
Synthesis gas offers many advantages to industrial companiese
Direct gas use offers a multitude of economic and environmental advantages:
- CO₂-neutral, decentralized gas production directly at the locationt
- Tailored to requirements and adapted to the load profile
- High planning security through independence from natural gas price fluctuations
- Use of regional energy sources or own residual materials - The added value remains in the region, optimizing the circular economy
- Improved efficiency and a significant reduction in fossil fuel costs

The produced synthesis gas (syngas for short) consists mainly of carbon monoxide (CO) and hydrogen (H₂) and can be obtained from wood chips, pellets or other residual materials. Gas-Direktnutzung als Antwort auf den steigenden Bedarf an nachhaltigen Hochtemperaturlösungen in der Industrie Against the backdrop of growing demands for climate protection and security of supply, direct gas use offers companies a strategically important opportunity to move away from fossil fuels while simultaneously ensuring the profitability of production.
“With our direct gas utilization, we close a supply gap for industrial high-temperature processes – sustainably, economically and regionally available”, says Bernhard Seiler, sales manager of Spanner Re². This innovative technology makes a significant contribution to the decarbonization of energy-intensive industries.
