The annual processing volume of around 140,000,000 kg of milk requires a large amount of electricity and heat. In line with the organic dairy products, the energy is also to be generated sustainably in future. The dairy therefore decided to use the proven energy systems from Re².
3 Re² EnergyBlocks, each with 4 HKA 70 plants and peripherals, have already been installed on the dairy factory area. The efficient combined heat and power plants are equipped with SCR catalysts and process heat exchangers and will supply the dairy with energy in future.
Heat for dairy operations
The sustainable wood gas-based heat is used 100% for the energy-intensive dairy operation. The wood chips for the environmentally friendly Re² systems are purchased from a regional supplier. By investing in biomass power plants from Re², the dairy is becoming energy self-sufficient and is focusing on sustainable and CO2-neutral energy generation using wood chips as a regional energy source.
