Our proven wood gasification technology enables you to generate electricity and heat in a decentralised manner according to the principle of combined heat and power. The central step takes place in the wood gasifier system. In this system, clean synthesis gas (wood gas) is obtained from wood chips or pellets using a special process. This wood gas is then converted into electricity in a biomass CHP plant. Unlike a classic biomass boiler, where the fuel is simply burnt, our technology provides you with both heat and electricity. This means the fuel is utilised in the best possible way.
You can achieve energy self-sufficiency or generate additional income by selling energy
You can use the electricity yourself or sell it back to the grid. You can use the sustainably generated heat to provide heating for stables or greenhouses, for example, or generate additional income by drying wood or supplying a local heating network. Process heat utilisation, which is subsidised in Germany, is also possible with our wood gasifcation technology. You can also replace diesel generator with biomass power plants from Spanner Re².
It is also possible to use the wood gas produced directly to replace natural gas
The synthesis gas (syngas) produced in our biomass power plants can be used directly as a substitute for natural gas in thermochemical processes. This is an attractive way of replacing fossil fuels sustainably and utilising a company's own waste materials to generate energy. Using direct gas enables industrial and energy-intensive companies, such as brickworks, to replace natural gas economically and significantly reduce their CO₂ emissions.

Our wood gasification technology gives you complete freedom to choose your fuel. This is because our biomass power plants can generate energy from a variety of fuels, including sawmill by-products, waste wood, residual forest from thinning, beetle wood, and prepared roadside greenery, as well as a range of biogenic residues, such as nutshells and husks, and even plastic waste.

How does wood gasification work?
The central step of wood gasification takes place in the reformer: In a thermochemical process, in the reformer, direct current operation converts the fuel (wood chips or pellets) into a particularly clean wood gas. In a combined heat and power plant (CHP), a generator uses the wood gas to create electricity. Heat is also generated. Alternatively, the gas can be used directly in other industrial processes as a sustainable replacement for fossil energy. Biomass power plants from Spanner Re² are an energy solution that saves CO₂ and reduces costs, producing energy on demand.
